Swiss Cottage

Between Hampstead and St John's Wood, on the Jubilee line.

Swiss Cottage takes its name from a 19th-century tavern built in the style of an Alpine chalet, which still stands at the junction of Finchley Road and Avenue Road. Around it are Hampstead Theatre, the Swiss Cottage Library and leisure centre, and the shops and cinema of Finchley Road. Primrose Hill, Hampstead and St John's Wood are all within walking distance.

Swiss Cottage station is on the Jubilee line, a few stops from Bond Street and the West End. Homes include mansion flats, apartments in modern blocks and period houses on the quieter streets.
